This project reimagined Cleveland’s Health-Tech Corridor as a fully integrated innovation ecosystem, not just a collection of institutions. AngelouEconomics placed a unique emphasis on building a localized biomedical supply chain, identifying how the region’s legacy manufacturing strengths (for example plastics and metal fabrication) could directly support medical device production.
The strategy went beyond traditional cluster analysis to align research, production, and logistics while also tying the corridor’s future to global trade through connections with the Port of Cleveland. The result was a highly targeted roadmap to transform Cleveland into a vertically integrated biomedical hub.
