Dimitris Horiatis serves as a Business Development and Site Location Consultant for AngelouEconomics, helping build relationships with companies, economic development organizations, and government partners while supporting the firm’s investment attraction, market expansion, and site selection initiatives.
With more than 20 years of experience in foreign direct investment (FDI), international business development, and economic development, Dimitris has worked with companies and governments to attract investment, expand into new markets, and create long-term economic growth. His experience spans North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, supporting hundreds of millions of dollars in investment projects and the creation of thousands of jobs.
Prior to joining AngelouEconomics, Dimitris served as U.S. Director for Foreign Direct Investment at the Bahrain Economic Development Board, where he led investment attraction initiatives throughout the Americas and worked closely with multinational corporations, investors, and senior government officials. He also held leadership positions with Invest Hong Kong and the British Consulate in New York, Houston, and Los Angeles, where he helped secure major international investment projects and strengthen cross-border business relationships.
Throughout his career, Dimitris has partnered with Fortune 500 companies, technology firms, life sciences organizations, and public-sector entities to support expansion and market-entry strategies. His expertise includes foreign direct investment, site selection, international trade, business attraction, technology and innovation industries, life sciences, and cross-border business development.
