1974

Angelos Angelou moved to the U.S. from Greece.

As a young student, Angelos embraced the opportunity to study in the U.S., bringing with him a global perspective and a determination to succeed. This early experience laid the foundation for his future as a leader in economic development and international entrepreneurship.

1984

Angelos assumed a pivotal role in shaping Austin’s economic future. As Chief Economist, he spearheaded innovative strategies to attract industries, create jobs, and diversify the local economy, laying the groundwork for Austin’s transformation into a global technology hub.

1995

Founded AngelouEconomics

Angelos established AngelouEconomics, a pioneering consulting firm specializing in economic development, public policy initiatives, economic impact studies, and site selection. Through this venture, he empowered cities, regions, and countries with actionable insights and strategies to attract investment and drive sustainable growth.

2016

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by international entrepreneurs, Angelos founded the International Accelerator to provide a soft landing for startups entering the U.S. market. The program offers mentorship, resources, and a network of connections to help foreign-born founders successfully establish and scale their businesses in America.

2023

Expanding his mission to support global entrepreneurship, Angelos launched IA Global Ventures. This initiative focuses on investing in high-potential startups worldwide, helping entrepreneurs turn innovative ideas into successful, market-leading businesses.
