Texas has earned another esteemed top ranking as the largest state exporter of tech, unseating the long reigning champion of California. As the legacy of Silicon Valley has evolved into as much funding as it is manufacturing, the emergence of the Texas manufacturing sector has made huge gains. This has been the cumulative result of some very business friendly policy initiatives, low taxes, and abundant low cost power. Also the advent of the Central Texas investment and start up area in and around Austin, also known as the Silicon Hills, is contributing to the strong tech manufacturing focus.
