The City of Roseville hired AE in 2004 to create a comprehensive economic development plan. The city is located 16 miles northeast of Sacramento, the state capital, and is home to technology companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Agilent, and NEC Electronics. Roseville was provided with a plan that will guide entrepreneurial activities, as well as business recruitment and expansion, for the next five years.

Since the completion of AngelouEconomics’ study, NEC Electronics America Inc. announced plans to invest $168 million to expand its wafer fabrication facility and bring new equipment to the Roseville plant. The expansion is expected to bring 100 new jobs to the site in addition to the over 700 jobs already there. Rabobank International has also announced plans to make Roseville its West Coast headquarters
